Morning fly to Udaipur, upon arrival, transfer to hotel Taj Lake Palace, afternoon at leisure

Late afternoon, embark on a private cruise past Jag Mandir, a marble palace on an island in Lake Pichola.

Morning journey out of town for an excursion to Delwara and visit two important temple complexes — Eklingji, dedicated to Shiva, and deserted Nagda, built to honor Lord Vishnu. 

Return to hotel, in evening dine at Mughali private dine at Bhairo, the Lake Palace rooftop restaurant.

Morning visit the stunning City Palace, a marble complex that offers unforgettable views of the lake and its surroundings. Continue to the Crystal Gallery in Fateh Prakash Palace.

Afternoon at leisure for shopping or relaxation or alternatively, spend the afternoon on the hotel’s Spa Boat (optional).

After breakfast drive to Jodhpur, en route stop in Ranakpur to visit one of the most sacred sites of the Jain faith — a 15th-century temple carved from marble slabs that were transported long distances and hidden from invaders among the forested hillsides. View this grand temple, known as Chaumukhu, with its more than 1,400 marble pillars and intricately carved interior domes, and take in the wealth of detail in its soaring architecture. Next, enjoy lunch under a banyan tree at Mountbatten Lodge, a luxurious oasis set among the rolling hills. This evening, arrive in Jodhpur and check in to your hotel

Morning city tour, a spectacular Art Deco retreat built in the 1930s. Begin the day’s explorations at Mehrangarh Fort, which stands atop a rocky cliff 400 feet above the city. Enter one of its seven fortified gateways, touring its museum and palaces. Descending toward town, stop at Jaswant Thada, a marble cenotaph remembering the former maharajas and maharanis of Jodhpur.

Later zip lining around Mehrangarh Fort. 

Evening enjoy sundowners at Pillar’s bar.

Set out to an experience the desert and camel safari. This ancient village of Osian is the gateway into the merciless that desert and is legendary for it’s mesmerising 6ht/8th century temples, sand-dunes and diversity of Rajasthan culture and tradition.

Return to the hotel for an afternoon at leisure. Tonight, Ride Like a Local by auto rickshaw to the old town of Jodhpur, stroll its bazaars and visit the local markets.

After breakfast drive to Jaipur, Enroute lunch at Chhatra Sagar. It captures the essence of the romance.  Luxury tents have always been an important part of Rajput lifestyle. Constant campaigns in far flung lands meant long stays in tents under inhospitable conditions.

Later continue to Jaipur, upon arrival, check at hotel.

Today, begin with a photo stop at what is perhaps Jaipur’s most famous building, Hawa Mahal, or the Palace of Winds, which was built expressly to allow ladies of the palace to view the street from behind artfully designed screens without being seen. Then proceed to explore Amber Fort, one of the finest examples of a fort palace, built similar in style to the surrounding, richly decorated Mughal courts. 

Later continue for a game of camel polo at Dera Amer Elephant stables. 

An evening private at fresco dinner is served nearby.

Hot air balloon ride at sunrise followed by morning City Tour. Afternoon with your car and driver discover the city of Jaipur, including the City Palace, as well as the Jantar Mantar Observatory with its precise astronomical instruments.

After breakfast fly to Hyderabad, upon arrival, transfer to hotel Taj Falaknuma Palace – built by, and formerly the home of the Nizams of Hyderabad, Hyderabad’s ruling family. Lovingly restored by Taj over a ten year period, this ‘Mirror of the Sky’ is arguably India’s best hotel.

Rest of the day leisure. Evening enjoy the evening history walk with the in-house historian.

Morning sightseeing of Golconda Fort. Afternoon at leisure. Enjoy sunset on the Gol Bungalow with a traditional Sufi performance and dinner at Adaa, the hotel’s Hyderabadi fine dining restaurant. 

End the trip on an absolute high with a stay at Taj Falaknuma Palace. Looking over the city of Hyderabad, which is a city of many cities, old and new.
